I purchased WiFi Explorer (an outstanding OSX app) to help me optimize my home wireless network. This excellent tool helped me discover FOURTEEN wireless networks visible around my house and select a better channel without conflicts, seriously improving my network performance.

One network it helped me discover is from my Samsung ML1865W laser printer called ‘porthru’. Since the printer sits next to my desk porthru is of couse the strongest netwrok in the house, sad since I don’t even use it. When I turn the printer off the portthru network vanishes.
Using the Samsung support page I leaned how to setup the printer to join my WiFi network, which disabled the portthru network. Yay!
